Marie Rodriguez is the founding partner of Ordinary Design, a residential, retail, and industrial design studio in Houston, TX. Marie’s education includes a Masters of Science in Architecture (Domestic Environments) from McGill University, a Masters of Architecture professional degree from Rice University and a Bachelors of Arts in Architecture from the University of Florida.
Marie has over 20 years of experience, having worked at various renowned design firms such as Arquitectonica, Rottet Studio, L. Barry Davidson Architects, and Morningside Architects. Marie has also worked for the Museum of Fine Arts Houston as a technical and research assistant at the Contemporary Latin American Art department (ICAA), and has written about architecture history & design for Cite magazine and the Houston Chronicle.
